Dan Stuart Wier (84) of Irving, TX and Little Rock, AR, passed away Thursday, February 26. Dan was born in Terrell, TX to Mabel McKinney Wier and James Stuart Wier. He was raised in Ft. Worth, TX and attended North Texas State University before he enlisted in the Air Force. He proudly served in the Korean War where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Following the war, he married his wife of 53 years, Daphne Frances Thornton. He completed his studies at the California College of Arts and Crafts and spent his career in graphic art and design. He was the founder and CEO of Creative Direction Inc. in Dallas for over 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. He is survived by brother Bob Wier (Julie); daughters Kimberley Wier Montez (Alex) of Little Rock and Shannon Wier Kosloski (Anthony) of Grove City, Ohio; and grandchildren Maura, Alexa and Stuart Montez; and Linley Kosloski.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving. Private burial will take place in Dallas. Memorials can be made to Woodhaven Presbyterian Church , 3650 N. O'Connor, Irving, TX 75062.
