UTI Campus in Irving Sets New Record Collecting Canned Food for the North Texas Food Bank

The Universal Technical Institute Dallas/Fort Worth campus in Irving recently completed their annual canned food drive for the North Texas Food Bank. The North Texas Food Bank is a Dallas non-profit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 340 Food Assistance Partners in 13 counties across North Texas.

Students and staff brought in 2,638 cans of food, approximately 200 more cans than last year. Mr. McFarland’s PM class collected the most cans out of all the classes totaling 734 cans.

The campus plans on continuing this holiday tradition next year and will also explore new ways to give back to the Irving and North Texas community in the new year.
