Nimitz (1-2) picked up its first win of the season crushing Haltom 45-0 at the Birdville Fine Arts Athletic Complex.
Nimitz took its opening drive 89 yards over 11 plays capped by QB Jimmy Clark's 22 yard scamper. On Haltom's second play from scrimmage, Nimitz linebacker Michael Scott, an SMU commit, intercepted a pass on the right flat and returned it 37 yards as Nimitz took a quick 14-0 lead and never looked back.
Midway through the 2nd quarter Brandon Ross picked off a deflected pass setting up Scott's second touchdown, this time on offense, when he caught a 12 yard touchdown pass from Jimmy Clark. Clark completed 11 passes to 4 different receivers for 105 and 2 TDs
