Lola Ernsting Performing Arts Scholarship

Need money for college? The Lola Ernsting Performing Arts Scholarship has been established for high school seniors who participate in fine arts and who plan to attend a four year university. The scholarship is being offered through the Irving Schools Foundation.

The scholarship was created in memory of Lola Ernsting by her daughter Lesley Carney who is a teacher at Townsell Elementary School. Mrs. Ernsting was a dedicated substitute teacher in the Irving ISD for more than 30 years. She also was a PTA president and Life Member at Barton Elementary School where her 3 children attended. Mrs. Ernsting was also involved in PTA at Crocket Middle School, MacArthur High School and Irving High. She loved the performing arts, encouraging her children to take piano lessons, be in the band and choir.

Students can view requirements and details of the scholarship before they apply for the scholarship in the fall by visiting the Irving School's Foundation website at www.irvingisd.net/foundation/
