Running back Artiss Henderson set the pace early for MacArthur in a District 9-6A victory over Irving. Henderson had three touchdowns in the game, all in the first half, and finished with 101 yards on the ground.
The Tigers (0-5, 0-2) were in the game until the first play of the second half when defensive back KT McClendon scored on a 10-yard fumble return for MacArthur (3-2, 2-0). That put MacArthur up 28-10. Kane Hardin connected with Jeshua Hodges for a 52-yard touchdown pass later in the third quarter.
Chris Ward also scored a rushing touchdown for MacArthur, who never game up the lead in the game
