A free DogFest DFW outdoor festival is set for Sept. 19 at the new Baylor Scott & White Health-Canine Companions for Independence®-Kinkeade Campus at 7750 Las Colinas Ridge on the campus of the Baylor Health Center at Irving-Coppell. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon.
“The DogFest DFW event has raised more than $64,000 so far, which is exciting for a first-year event,” notes Irving Healthcare Foundation President John Drake. An anonymous Irving donor gave $10,000 through the foundation to be a “Man’s Best Friend” sponsor, and gave a $10,000 challenge grant, which was matched by gifts from the community.
Flowserve Corporation of Irving is a “Top Dog” sponsor for 2015, along with Lisa and Steve Candler and Angie and John Drake.
Other sponsors include HMS as a “Happy Tails” sponsor and “Companion” sponsorsJohn Hollbrook and Kimberly and Scott Sheffield. Ebby Halliday-Las Colinas andSusie Fan contributed to be “Dog Lover” sponsors.
