Irving Police, PAL to Host Free Hoops, Kicks Youth Camps

The Irving Police Department, along with the Irving Police Athletic/Activities League (PAL), will host two free youth day camps July 11 through Aug. 5. The camps are hosted by Irving Police School Resource Officers, and they provide safe and secure play environments for youth during the summer. All skill levels are welcome.

“Summer Kicks” Summer Youth Soccer Camp

8 a.m. to noon daily, Monday through Friday, July 11 to Aug. 5
Irving Schools Stadium, 600 E. 6th St.
Available to boys and girls, ages 8-14. Participants should wear shorts or sweat pants, T-shirts and soccer cleats. Shin guards are recommended. A free lunch will be served daily at 11 a.m.

  "Let's Hoop" Summer Hoops Youth Basketball Camp

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday, July 11 to Aug. 5
Sam Houston Middle School, 3033 W. Country Club
Available to boys and girls, ages 10-14. Participants should wear shorts or sweat pants, T-shirts and shoes suitable for playing basketball. A free lunch will be served daily at noon.

Registration and waiver forms must be filled out completely by a parent/guardian and can be returned by mail or brought to the first day of camp.
