After two Town Hall meetings, a Neighborhood Roundtable meeting and a public input period, the City of Irving Animal Services Advisory Committee considered all comments regarding proposed changes to the ordinance addressing raising chickens and roosters within city limits. The committee's recommendations were submitted to the Animal Services Department.
The City Council recently reviewed the recommendations during a Work Session, and provided direction to the City Attorney for the development of a draft of changes to the ordinance. The draft ordinance is now available for public review.
