Farine Elementary School is the recipient of a generous gift from Trend Micro, whose headquarters are located here in Irving. Representatives from the tech security company visited the campus on October 4 and presented a check for $5,676 as a part of the organization’s Give and Match program. Every year, Trend Micro participates in a matching program, asking Trenders to raise funds for a selected charity which is then matched by the company. With the donation, Farine Elementary will fund a software program for personalized reading applications for each student and anti-bullying presentations on campus.
