University of Dallas Announces Annual Crusader Scholarship Competition for High School Seniors

In an effort to recognize and support outstanding students, the University of Dallas (UD) has established the annual Crusader Scholarship Competition, offering full-tuition scholarships to five deserving high school seniors.

The Crusader Scholarship is open to all high school seniors applying to UD. To be considered, applicants must complete their UD admission application by February 14, 2024, and submit an additional Crusader Scholarship application form.

The scholarship aims to honor well-rounded students who embody the spirit of a UD Crusader. Eligible candidates must fulfill the UD application requirements, including submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), meeting minimum GPA and test score criteria, providing a short essay explaining why they would make an excellent Crusader, and participating in a one-hour webinar on either February 29 or March 2.

Carey Christenberry, Director of Undergraduate Admission, emphasized that the inaugural Crusader Scholarship Competition seeks individuals who exemplify competence, character, creativity, compassion, collaboration, and distinction. The ideal Crusader, as described by Christenberry, could be anyone – a quiet servant, a bold leader, an athlete, an artist, a thinker, or a doer. The scholarship aims to recognize those who love truth, seek wisdom, pursue virtue, and strive for a well-lived life.

Five outstanding students will be selected to receive the Crusader Scholarship, valued at over $200,000, covering tuition for four years. The application deadline is approaching, with prospective students encouraged to submit their materials and vie for this prestigious scholarship opportunity.
