Jessica O’Neal, CEO of Medical City Las Colinas, Named Chair of 2024 Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council

Jessica O’Neal, CEO of Medical City Las Colinas, has been appointed as the chair of the 2024 Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council. The 2024 Board of Trustees, consisting of 15 accomplished healthcare executives with three-year terms, collaboratively aims to enhance healthcare quality and promote health equity in the region.

Expressing her gratitude, Jessica O’Neal, FACHE, stated, “I am honored to be named the 2024 chair of the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Board of Trustees alongside many accomplished healthcare executives. I look forward to serving our North Texas communities and furthering Medical City Healthcare’s mission to care for and improve human life.”

O’Neal assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Medical City Las Colinas in January 2022, having previously served as the CEO of Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas. Under her leadership, Medical City Las Colinas has consistently received A ratings for safety from the Leapfrog Group and was honored with the Healthgrades 2022 Patient Safety Excellence Award™, placing it among the top 10% of all short-term, acute care hospitals evaluated by Healthgrades.

In recognition of her contributions, O’Neal was named a Dallas Business Journal 2023 Women in Business Awards honoree and included in the 2023 Becker’s Hospital Review list of women hospital presidents and CEOs to know. Actively involved in the community, she serves on the board of directors of Community Partners of Dallas.

The DFW Hospital Council, a trade organization with over 54 years of service to North Texas healthcare, comprises 90 hospitals and 90 associate members. Governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of hospital executive officers, the organization is dedicated to the continuous improvement of patient care.
