Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce to Host Workshop on E-commerce Logistics for Businesses

In response to a recent UPS survey highlighting challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in exporting and e-commerce, UPS and U.S. Commercial Services have teamed up to launch a capacity-building program. The initiative aims to empower SMBs with the essential tools and resources needed to enhance their global competitiveness and increase participation in international trade.

The training will cover various topics crucial for business expansion, including APIs, e-commerce strategies, logistics optimization, leveraging government support, and insights on cross-border trade.

Background: The decision to organize this program is based on findings from a UPS survey of small and medium-sized business customers. Survey respondents identified key barriers to exporting and e-commerce growth, including challenges in warehousing, managing online stores, and concerns about the quality and cost of logistics.

Free Workshop Highlights:

  • Content: Participants will receive knowledge and resources drawn from years of experience in export logistics to aid small businesses in expanding their reach.
  • Impact: Over the past three years, more than 600 SMBs have been trained virtually. Dallas marks one of the first in-person locations, with upcoming events planned in Denver, San Antonio, New York, and Atlanta.
