On April 5, 2024. a Tarrant County jury found 38-year-old Benedicto Cisneros-Martinez guilty of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child under 14. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
On May 10, 2021, a relative of Cisneros-Martinez made an outcry to Arlington Police that he had sexually assaulted her multiple times since she was 7 years old. The victim told police that on at least one occasion he also gave her drugs before the sexual assault took place.
The Arlington Police Department investigated this case. The case was prosecuted by Tarrant County Assistant District Attorneys Matthew Hinojosa and Colin Duffy.
