FBI Needs Help Identifying Fort Worth Bank Robbery Suspect

On June 6, 2024, at approximately 2:10 p.m., an unidentified individual conducted a bank robbery at the Texas First Convenience Bank located inside Walmart at 8401 Anderson Boulevard in Fort Worth, Texas. The suspect, accompanied by a child seated in a shopping cart, approached the bank teller counter and presented a note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene, pushing the shopping cart with the child towards the exit.

The suspect is described as a white male between 35 to 45 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a baseball hat, black sunglasses, a multi-color "fishing shirt," khaki-colored cargo shorts, and “Hey Dude” shoes.

The FBI's Dallas Division is seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect involved in the robbery. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI Dallas at 972-559-5000 or submit tips anonymously at tips.fbi.gov.

UPDATE: The Fort Worth Police Deparment said that the suspect has been identified thanks to tips from the community.  On Monday, June 17, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., FBI - Dallas Division’s Fort Worth Safe Streets Task Force, comprised of investigators from both the FBI and Fort Worth Police Department, arrested Ronnie Newman, 44, in Mineral Wells.

Newman will be charged through the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.
