New Suspect Arrested for Murder of Bedford 79-Year-Old Woman, Previous Suspect Released

Aaron Pouchie

Bedford Police have arrested a second suspect in the June 6 death of 79-year-old Christina Barsanti. As the investigation progressed, detectives obtained a clearer image of the vehicle involved in the crime, leading to the identification of a second person of interest.

Aaron Pouchie, 26, of Montgomery, Alabama, was located in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, on June 10 with assistance from local law enforcement. He was taken into custody by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department on June 11 for unrelated charges.

Bedford detectives secured an arrest warrant for Pouchie, charging him with capital murder. The suspect vehicle was also returned to Texas for processing.

The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office is now working to extradite Pouchie to Texas, where he will be held in the Tarrant County Jail.

Brandon Paramore, who was initially arrested and charged with the crime, has been released from custody following these new developments.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to process evidence.

Original Case

On June 7, Bedford Police officers responded to a call regarding an unconscious person at 2400 Meadow View Lane in Bedford. Upon arrival, officers found Ms. Barsanti deceased inside her home, having been struck by an unknown object.

Surveillance footage from Ms. Barsanti’s home showed a man approaching her door and ringing the doorbell. After Ms. Barsanti refused his request to use her phone, the man forced his way inside.

Police had previously identified Paramore as the suspect in the video, but further investigation lead them to Pouchie instead.
