On July 13, 2024, Sergeant Thomas Michael Fry of the Dallas Police Department, Badge #8003, was arrested by the Royce City Police Department on a warrant for felony theft. The warrant was issued by the Dallas Police Department Public Integrity Unit after an investigation into allegations of criminal misconduct.
Sergeant Fry, who serves in Detention Services, is charged with Theft of Property valued between $30,000 and $150,000. Additionally, three counts of Theft of Firearm were added to his charges the following day. The total bond for all four charges was set at $95,000.
He remains on administrative leave pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs Division (IAD) administrative investigation.
