On July 14, 2024, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2500 block of N. Houston Street in the Victoria Park area. The preliminary investigation determined that when officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Jake Reynosa shot in the street. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and transported him to a local hospital where he died.
The investigation determined Reynosa was approached by multiple suspects at the scene and was shot.
Through the investigation, officers located the suspects and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects ran from the vehicle and the scene.
Officers were able to take one suspect, a 15-year-old female, into custody, and she has been charged with Capital Murder. The name of the suspect will not be released due to her age.
The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 107933-2024.
