On July 16, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4600 block of Lake Avenue, located in the Parkland Hospital area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Ashton Barnes inside an apartment, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, there is no suspect description available. The investigation is ongoing and is recorded under case number 109220-2024.
