Irving Families Invited to Free Community Event at Lightbridge Academy

 

Lightbridge Academy,The Solution for Working Families® and one ofthe fastest-growing early childhood education franchises, is launching a national week-longcurriculum event to inspire creativity and help children meet developmental milestones in their learning.

From July 22 to July 26, Irving area preschoolers at Lightbridge Academy located at 2750 Ranch Trail will host an educational event aroudn the book "If I Built a Car" by Chris VanDusen.  

“We are excited to celebrate children’s innovative creations and participate in fun activities thateven involve fun for the whole family,” said Jennifer Romanoff, VP of Education and Training forLightbridge Academy. “By prioritizing play, ingenuity, and meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones, our centers are able to roll out this curriculum event to engage evenour youngest students and get them excited about learning while setting a strong foundationfor their future.”

The educationalevent will feature interactive activities for each age group to spark children's imagination and creativity, allowing each childto build their dream car-either individually, with a buddy or with a small group of friends. 

In the book, If I Built a Car, the main character, Jack, designs his ultimate fantasy car. After starting the engine, Jack and his dad embark on a wild test drive adventure.  

Event Details

  • Special Guest: Three-time NASCAR Champion Robert Metzger will host storytime for event kick off
  • Interactive Activities: Kids will participate in hands-on activities to design and create their dream cars
  • Community Celebration: A lively "VROOM-ing" event on July 26 where local families can join in the fun and see the children drive the cars they created throughout the week "thru" the center and "drive-in" to the center's multi-purpose room or outdoor learning environment for a short movie, sing-along or special treat.
  • The celebration is free for the community to attend
