On July 18, 2024, at approximately 2:35 PM, Dallas police responded to a call regarding a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of Fernwood Avenue near E. Illinois Ave in the Cedar Crest neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim deceased inside the vehicle.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had been shot by an unknown suspect.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 110199-2024. The victim's identity will be confirmed by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
