On the evening of September 18th, workers cutting concrete near the 3300 block of Regent Blvd accidentally ignited cellulose forms beneath a building's foundation, sparking a fire. The Irving Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team, from Station 6, responded promptly to the scene.
Firefighters equipped with confined space gear crawled through a narrow opening under the sidewalk, dragging a hose to reach the fire. The team successfully extinguished the flames, preventing further damage to the building. No injuries were reported.
