Irving Welcomes Several New Businesses

Irving is proud to welcome several new businesses.

Schlotzsky’s is now open at 4970 N. O’Connor Blvd. It is the first of the franchises to serve food on real plates. They serve sandwiches, salads, soups and even Cinnabon cinnamon rolls.

“Irving has actually been one of the best places we’ve built in,” said Schlotzsky’s owner Cary Albert. “They’ve been bending over backwards helping us in every facet of this development. They’re very responsive. We haven’t had to wait for anything.”

GolfTEC, a business that has been helping golfers of all skill levels play better for more than 15 years, is now open at 114 E. John Carpenter Fwy. They use a comprehensive approach to golf lessons to help customers reach their established goals.

Another big win for the city—Michaels is opening one of its popular craft stores at the end of the month. It will be located on MacArthur Boulevard near State Highway 161.

“Residents have been asking for more arts and crafts stores,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez. “City leaders worked strategically to bring Michaels here along with other new businesses in response to resident input.”

More new businesses are slated to open in August. For more information, visit the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce website at www.irvingchamber.com.
