Michael’s Opens in Irving with Ribbon Cutting

Under an arch of red and white balloons, Michael’s executives officially opened their Irving store on Sunday morning. Located at 7635 N. MacArthur Blvd., just south of 635, the store features new graphics, colors and schemes to provide a vibrant shopping experience. Key departments, such as scrapbooking, jewelry and kids are expanded and re-organized for easy shopping.

At the grand opening, zone vice president Ted Bachmeier welcomed guests and introduced a few speakers, which included State Rep. Linda Harper Brown and Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne. Van Duyne cut the ribbon with a pair of glittery scissors–then shoppers poured through the doors.

“It’s wonderful to see such a response,” said John Wyatt, senior vice president of development. He added that the company has also updated and expanded its corporate headquarters in Irving which are on Belt Line Road just south of 635.
