Irving's ACE Cash Express Recognized for their Community Support

Financial Service Centers of America (FiSCA) announced the 2012 winners of its Activa Awards during its 24th Annual National Conference  and Exposition, which concluded yesterday in Chicago, Illinois.

Each year, FiSCA honors member companies for outstanding community service, civic improvement, and charitable donation programs designed to positively impact the neighborhoods in which these members conduct business. Programs that won Activas in previous years are not eligible. This year, twelve member companies were recognized for their achievements during the past year.

In making the awards, FiSCA Chairman Joseph Coleman said, “Every year, FiSCA members help the communities they serve. They partner with an array of organizations that share a common mission – to improve their local communities. Our Activa Award program recognizes members of FiSCA who have made extraordinary commitments to helping others. In doing so, they help tell the story of the neighborhood financial service center and enhance the overall reputation of our industry.”

One of the recepients was Irving based ACE Cash Express.

"In May 2012, ACE associates volunteered to spend the day teaching the Junior Achievement curriculum to grades K-2 in a program called “JA in a Day.” Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that teaches students lessons on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.

“This year’s recipients have all demonstrated that during these trying economic times, it is most important to lend a hand to a neighbor,” continued Coleman. “The Activa Awards illustrate how FiSCA members play crucial roles in their communities.”
