U.S. Bank, through both the U.S. Bancorp Foundation and its Proud To Serve military support program, is awarding $20,000 in grants to Defenders of Freedom in Dallas/Fort Worth.
The $10,000 U.S. Bancorp Foundation grant is a general purpose economic opportunity grant. Economic opportunity grants support nonprofit organizations that provide affordable housing, encourage self-sufficiency, and assist economic development. U.S. Bank's Proud to Serve military support program also awarded a $10,000 grant to Defenders of Freedom.

It helps improve the quality of life for veterans of all branches of the Armed Forces, and their families, as they transition from their Warrior Transition Units. Far too often our wounded soldiers coming off the battlefields across the globe suffer while waiting for their benefits to kick in. Defenders of Freedom bridges that gap, financially and emotionally, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
