Killer Caught, Charged With Murder After Fatal Shooting in Pleasant Grove

DALLAS, Texas - A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting Sunday night left another man dead in Dallas' Pleasant Grove area.

Dallas police responded around 10:40 p.m. Aug. 30 to a reported shooting in the 9700 block of Bruton Road.

Officers found 35-year-old Milton Colocho of Balch Springs, who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation determined that Brian Loyless, 41, shot Colocho, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Police arrested Loyless, who was booked into the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on a murder charge.

Investigators have not released information about what led to the shooting or the relationship, if any, between Loyless and Colocho.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
