Solaris Technologies Opens New World Headquarters in Irving

Global telecom equipment provider relocates to 21,000 SF facility in Las Colinas. Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting set for Friday, February 15, 2013 from Noon to 2:00 PM.

Solaris Technologies, a global manufacturer and distributor of telecommunications equipment, will host a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at their new World Headquarters at 1624 West Walnut Hill Lane on Friday February 15 from noon to 2:00 PM.

Founded in Mexico City, Solaris’ triple digit growth in recent years led to relocation of company headquarters to the Dallas area to serve its expanding base of international customers. The 21,000 square foot facility located just off highway 114 contains a certified multi-vendor repair facility that will be a premier service center for Telecommunications equipment including optical transmission, rectifiers, transceivers, PCB, Wireline, Wireless, Enterprise and test. Our warehouse contains more than 15,000 stocked and just in time items to support customer requirements and immediate network solutions. The building also houses a new state of the art customer experience center, sales, marketing, product research and development.

Grand Opening festivities at the new Solaris World Headquarters begin at Noon with a Ribbon Cutting, and are expected to be attended by local leaders, customers and dignitaries. Customers, Industry partners and Media are also invited to tour the new facility, meet the Solaris global leadership team and experience Solaris’ ToughTower™ Rapid Deploy Site-on-Wheels. The durable mobile tower extends to over 100 feet tall in minutes, allowing operators to scale network capacity quickly and cost effectively. Solaris fiber optic cable offers brand name quality, with Corning® glass core and infinite configurations at a fraction of the cost of competitors.

“We began seeing a need for an expanded world headquarters over one year ago, as Solaris added staff in order to meet growing demand in the United States, Canada Latin America and Asia” said Evelyn Torres, Chief Executive Officer. “Now, not only can we comfortably house all our employees, but we can offer more in stock items to meet customer demand faster, and we can provide a showcase for customers to see our innovative products in action.”

Grand Opening attendees will enjoy live entertainment from DJ Mickey D and vote in a delicious chili cook-off. Register to win great prizes sponsored by Solaris and T-Mobile, including tech toys like iPad. There will also be a special appearance by Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne and the Dragon Lion Dance Troup.

After an exhaustive search for a new world headquarters, Solaris selected Irving-Las Colinas Texas due to its central location in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, business friendly climate, proximity to DFW Airport and easy access to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).

“The new center is located just down the street from the DART station, another reason why Solaris selected Irving as its new global headquarters. Now, when Solaris customers around the globe need fast support, Solaris techs will soon be able to jump right on DART to DFW Airport to catch a flight,” said Torres.
