U.S. Bank Employees Donate School Supplies to Townsell Elementary

U.S. Bank employees in Dallas/Ft. Worth recently donated more than 2,400 school supply items to Jackie Mae Townsell Elementary School in Irving, Texas. Representatives of Townsell Elementary will distribute the school supplies to students in need.

“The U.S. Bank team had a great time donating large numbers of notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, paper, erasers and other school supplies at U.S. Bank’s all employee meeting in Irving,” said Patrick Law, senior vice president of client operations for Elan Financial Services in Dallas/Ft. Worth. “We are honored to provide the school supplies to help students at Jackie Mae Townsell Elementary do their best.”

When told about the amount of school supply items, School Counselor Sharon Perkins said, “Wow! That is incredible. I'm going to love telling the teachers.”

In addition, U.S. Bank employees across the company donated school supplies to other nonprofit organizations around the country. The nonprofits in those communities will also distribute the school supplies to students in need.

More than 41,000 of U.S. Bank's employees gathered at meeting sites in 75 markets to receive an update on the company’s activities, employee volunteer efforts and to share ideas as to how they can assist customers and communities.

U.S. Bank supports the community with programs designed to award grants to nonprofit organizations, inspire volunteerism among its employees, highlight and support key partners such as United Way, and rally around employees who face hardship through an employee assistance program. U.S. Bank also tracks and reports its community lending, education and volunteer activities in the spirit of the federal Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) as well as in its annual Corporate Citizenship Report.
