THE LEVEE SINGERS
Friday, November 15, 2013 – 7:30 pm
The Levee Singers began, in 1961, as the "Levee Banjo Band"...the weeknight entertainment at the Levee…a small, very successful nightclub in Dallas near the SMU campus. Their name was changed to the Levee Singers when the group began appearing on national TV shows and across the country at conventions and concerts and in Las Vegas and Reno. The group quickly became one of Dallas' best-known and most in-demand entertainment groups in the early 1960's.
The group always felt they might have become even more widely-known...with the start they had and the "inside" relationship their manager had with many people in the entertainment world. But they decided they didn't want to gamble what they had going at the Levee and with the recording studio business their leader, Ed Bernet, had begun.

THE GOTHARD SISTERS
Thursday, April 24, 2014 – 7:30pm
These girls have been playing violin and dancing since a very young age, and they grew up performing on stages in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Greta, Willow and Solana Gothard started out with rigorous classical violin training and competitive Irish dance, leading them to leadership positions in the local Youth Symphonies and bringing them to the Irish dancing World Championships (held overseas in the UK) to compete in the solo championships for three years in a row.

The three sisters have also developed their talents on numerous other instruments including guitar, bodhran and voice, in the pursuit of a fuller, more compelling show. Their love for music, dance and storytelling is their inspiration for performing and recording.
