Developer Myers & Crow Co. will break ground soon on a 3-story office building near LBJ Freeway on Freeport Parkway in Irving.
“We will start construction on this speculative building in about 60 days,” developer Marc Myers said Tuesday.
The 153,514-square-foot Freeport 9 building was designed by Dupree & Associates. Construction on the project will be finished in about a year. The Myers & Crow project is the latest in a string of recent office building announcements in North Texas. Demand for office space in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is at the highest level in more than a decade. About 1.7 million square feet of new buildings are currently in the development pipeline.
