Akili Hires Beth Van Duyne as Vice President of Strategic Alliances

Akili, a niche information technology consulting firm and SAP Gold partner focused on Business Analytics, Mobility, Cloud, HANA, and Oil and Gas Industry solutions, announced today the appointment of Beth Van Duyne as Vice President of Strategic Alliances.
    
Ms. Van Duyne has 20 years' experience in business planning, strategic alliances, competitive analysis, negotiation strategies, grassroots coalition building, and federal and state legislative policy strategies.

She has led and enabled successful business development efforts in numerous organizations from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies including American Airlines, SAP, Verizon and VHA. Ms. Van Duyne has considerable experience and strong relationships in the transportation, healthcare, energy and telecommunication industries targeting segments within the Consumer, Business and Wholesale markets.

Currently serving as the Mayor of the City of Irving since 2011, Ms. Van Duyne was previously on City Council from 2004-2011. Ms. Van Duyne is on the executive boards of the North Texas Commission and Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, chairs the Mayor's Economic Development Advisory Board and was recently elected to the Advisory Board of the US Conference of Mayors.  As an elected official, she has done extensive coalition building among local, state and federal representatives through her activities with the National League of Cities, Texas Municipal League, Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition and the Regional Transportation Council. She is a past member of the North Texas Healthcare Tax Force, President of the Irving Republican Women's Club and Board member of New Tech High.

Ms. Van Duyne is a magna cum laude graduate of Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with studies in City and Regional Planning, Government and Law.
