Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Irving office is in the last phases of construction, as the Lone Star chapter makes room for the organization’s national headquarters.

The national organization, which is relocating from Philadelphia, is planning to be fully moved in to the bottom floor of the building, owned by the Lone Star chapter, by mid-September. It will join the organization’s international chapter, which moved in to the second floor of the building in 2011.

“I struggled with understanding why we’re in Philadelphia,” said Charles Pierson, who was became president and CEO of the national organization in April. “We should have a reason to be headquartered where we are.”
