Man Struck and Killed Walking down I35W in Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Tuesday night at I35W and E. Berry Street.

At 9:37 pm, Fort Worth FD, PD, and MedStar EMS responded to a pedestrian struck on the northbound I35W service road near E. Berry Street.

Investigators say a man was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle attempted to avoid hitting him, but collided with another vehicle and hit the pedestrian.

Paramedics transported a man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital Emergency Room. The Medical Examiner has identified him as a 65-year-old resident of Fort Worth.

The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No criminal charges are expected.
