Mineko Grimmer – a Los Angeles based artist – is known for her unique structures that provide visitors with a visual and sonic experience. Her site-specific installation will extend along the center of the Irving Arts Center's spacious Main Gallery. Five 6' x 6' structures will be filled with a shallow pool of water and elements of bronze, tension wire and bamboo lattice work. The structures are anchored below inverted ice pyramids containing pebbles. As the ice melts, the pebbles are released into the elements, creating a variety of distinctive sounds. NOTE: Ice pyramids are hung at 10:30 a.m. on Monday – Saturday; at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday; and at 5 p.m. on Thursdays. Ice pyramids last approximately 3-4 hours.

When Tito arrives late to rehearsal, he doesn’t have time to practice with the company. Through a hilarious series of mishaps, Il Stupendo is given a double dose of tranquilizers – making him pass out. Saunders – the general manager – is determined that the show must go on! His assistant Max is poised to impersonate the opera star, performing admirably until Morelli appears on stage as well. What follows is a chain-reaction of mistaken identity, plot twist and constant entrances and exits. Rated PG-13.
