DFW Airport Launches Baggage Equipment Upgrade Project in Terminal D South Lobby

DFW Terminal D Lobby

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has initiated a project aimed at enhancing its checked baggage equipment within the Terminal D south lobby. As part of this upgrade, some of the airline check-in counters located near the D18 security checkpoint will temporarily relocate.

For passengers flying on international airlines departing from Terminal D, the check-in process will involve checking their baggage with their respective airline. Afterward, airline staff will direct them to the bag drop-off area situated near the center of the lobby, where they can complete the check-in procedure.

To ensure a seamless check-in experience for international travelers departing from Terminal D, it is strongly recommended that they arrive at DFW Airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure time. While the ticket counters at D18 will remain open, many airlines will have temporary counters within the same vicinity to assist passengers. Following the baggage drop-off, travelers can proceed through the TSA checkpoint as usual. Passengers flying with American Airlines from Terminal D are encouraged to consider using the D30 entrance and check-in area.

The comprehensive upgrade project is projected to conclude by the spring of 2024. Travelers are advised to check with their respective airlines for any additional instructions and to ensure that they adhere to the baggage requirements specified by their airline.
