Three schools within the Irving Independent School District (ISD) have been acknowledged for their exceptional Advanced Placement (AP) programs. The schools were recently named recipients of the 2023 AP School Honor Roll, a prestigious recognition that celebrates educational institutions making significant strides in both expanding student access to AP programs and ensuring positive outcomes.
The AP School Honor Roll, a national initiative, commends schools for their efforts in fostering a college-bound atmosphere, providing avenues for students to earn valuable college credits, and enhancing overall college readiness.
Schools recognized on the AP School Honor Roll receive varying levels of distinction, namely Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
These are the three Irving schools honored:
- Irving High School, Bronze Recognition Award
- MacArthur High School, Silver Recognition Award
- Singley Academy, Gold Recognition Award
