Early this morning, emergency services in Fort Worth, including police, fire, and MedStar EMS, attended a serious accident on the northbound lanes of I35W near Highway 121, close to downtown. The incident, which occurred around 12:46 am, involved a vehicle losing control, crashing into the concrete barrier, and subsequently falling from the overpass.
The driver, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The passenger was declared deceased at the scene by medical responders.
Due to the accident, lanes on I35W remained closed until 4:30 am to facilitate investigation procedures.
