Latino Cultural Center Hosts Eighth-Annual Texas Latino Comic Con on July 20

The Latino Cultural Center will host the eighth-annual Texas Latino Comic Con on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free to the public and will feature upcoming comic book creator John Aviña as the special guest of honor.

“We are excited for another year of hosting the Texas Latino Comic Con at the Latino Cultural Center. Especially with the inclusion of workshops and live Lucha Libre,” said Gerardo Robles, Manager of the Latino Cultural Center.

The theme for the 2024 convention is Steampunk. Attendees can participate in various activities, including working with Mundo Mascaras, a local family company. Mundo Mascaras will sell merchandise and host a live lucha libre event.

This year's Texas Latino Comic Con Championship belt will be defended by Aski Palomino and his comic book creator Roberto Mercado in a tag team match against Texas Latino Comic Con founder and Jefe Hector Rodriguez and Dallas wrestling sensation Bengali el Divo.

"We are proud once again to partner with the Latino Cultural Arts Center for the 8th consecutive year to showcase the best comic book creators from the great state of Texas," said Héctor Rodríguez, Co-Founder of Texas Latino Comic Con.
