Suspect Robs Murphy’s Express Gas Station at Gunpoint in Fort Worth, Flees on Foot

On July 20, 2024, at approximately 10:04 PM, a suspect entered the Murphy’s Express gas station located in the 3000 block of E Berry St. The suspect pushed an employee behind the counter and toward the safe. The suspect ordered the employee to open the safe. The employee tried to tell the suspect that he didn’t have access to the safe. The suspect pulled a black pistol from his hoodie and fired one round into the counter.

At this time, multiple customers were in the store, and fortunately, no one was hit. An employee opened the cash register for the suspect, who grabbed the cash and stuffed it into his hoodie pocket. The suspect fled the location on foot, last seen running west on Burton Ave.
