The Irving Arts Center is inviting Irving residents to serve as panelists for its 2024-25 Community Grant Review. Interested individuals may either be nominated or apply directly through an online form available at this link. The application deadline is September 6, 2024.
Eligible applicants are those with knowledge of the visual and/or performing arts, whether as practicing artists, participants, or regular attendees of arts events. Selected panelists will volunteer for a two-year term, joining other reviewers including professional arts and non-profit administrators and artists from across the state.
Panelists will be invited to attend events of funded organizations each year before the review process in June, with tickets provided by the Irving Arts Center. They will participate in a Zoom orientation before beginning their duties. While panelists do not make final funding decisions, they review and rank grant applications online and provide feedback to the Arts Board, which uses this input in its funding decisions.
Appointments will be made by the Irving Arts Board in September, with efforts made to ensure diversity in expertise, experience, and knowledge of the arts. For more information, contact Kass Prince at 214-878-5598 or koprince@cityofirving.org.
