Irving Repeat Offender Sentenced to Life in Prison For Sexually Abusing Stepdaughter

On July 16, 2024, a Dallas County Jury found 53-year-old Alonzo Henerey Bell guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.  Bell was sentenced by the court fo LIFE in prison.  

The charges were a result of an investigation by the Irving Police Department.  

On March 30, 2021, a 14-year-old female juvenile made an outcry of sexual abuse during a video recorded forensic interview.  The victim said that her stepfather, Alonzo Henerey Bell, sexually abused her while she was 13 years old.  According to the victim, the incidents occurred at her residence on the 900 block of Howard Ct in South Irving from September 2020 to October 2020.

The case was prosecuted by Kalle Riner and Robbie Pfeiffer.  The DA Investigator was Laura Brakfefield and the DA Victim Advocate was Leslie Gutierrez.  The Dallas County District Attorney's Office also praised the help received from Investigators Joseph Mundy, Walter Clifton and Garrick Whaley.  

This was Bell's third conviction.  On September 20, 2002, he was convicted after a guilty plea agrrement for Sexual Assault of a Child in the 203rd Judicial District Court of Dallas County.  He was sentenced to 4 years in prison.   On January 20, 2017, he was convicted of Indecency with a Child in the Criminal District Court No. 6 of Dallas County.  He was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
