Beginning Friday, Aug. 9 at 10 p.m., Hunter Ferrell Road, between Nursery Road and S. MacArthur Boulevard, will be closed to all traffic until 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, for wastewater infrastructure upgrades. The road will again be closed from 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, to 8 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 11.
During the day on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday, Aug. 11, starting at 8 a.m., Hunter Ferrell Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the work area in both east and west directions. The work is expected to be completed by Sunday, Aug. 11, weather permitting.
The Hunter Ferrell Landfill, located at 110 E. Hunter Ferrell Road, will maintain its regular business hours on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. However, motorists should anticipate traffic delays and consider postponing trips to the landfill until after the roadwork is finished. The landfill will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 11.
