TBAAL Hosts Major 3-Day Music Festival in Downtown Dallas Over Labor Day Weekend

The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) will host one of Dallas’ largest 3-day music festivals from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, located at 1309 Canton Street, Dallas, TX 75201.

The festival will open with “Jammin’ New Orleans Style,” featuring a performance by 5-time Grammy Award-winner Ceelo Green and the Dallas Second Line Jazz Band.

The major lineup includes The String Queens, Fantastic Negrito, Norman Brown, Maysa, Stokley, Jeffrey Osborne, Ginuwine, Rudy Love and The Encore featuring Robert Trusco, Stanley Jordan, Cassandra Wilson, Take 6, Natural Change, Down To The Bone, Patrice Rushen, Sheila E., Tower Of Power, FOUR BROTHERS ON BASS featuring AJ Brown, Walter Hamilton, TAJ, Braylon Lacy, and members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra featuring Ruben Studdard with guest conductor John Mclaughlin. The festival will also showcase twenty Dallas-based artists paying tribute to prominent jazz singers and twenty-seven young performing artists on the Dallas Mavericks Promising Young Artists Stage.
