On August 13, 2024, at approximately 6:05 PM, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 17500 block of Dallas Parkway in Far North Dallas. Upon arrival, officers found 18-year-old William Caleb Young shot inside an apartment. Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported Young to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an initial investigation, authorities identified 20-year-old Faiza Aballa Sheref as the suspect in the shooting. Sheref was arrested and charged with manslaughter. The case remains under investigation and is being documented under case number 123978-2024.
