On August 28, 2024, an 81-year-old man was found guilty of sexually abusing a child in a Tarrant County courtroom. The case was prosecuted by assistant district attorneys Lisa Callaghan and David Elder.
David Williams was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14. Williams was taken into custody immediately.
According to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office, in August of 2015, Williams continuously sexually abused a female family member when she was around 11 years old. Sadly, the horrific abuse lasted for months.
This case was investigated by the Saginaw Police Department, the Grapevine Police Department and Child Protective Services (CPS).
