The Irving Police Department is in the process of activating an Amber Alert with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for 7-year-old Braelynn Burkley. Braelynn was taken by a suspect known to her mother.
Braelynn is described as 4'0" tall, weighing approximately 65 lbs, with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in Fort Worth wearing a pink "My Melody" t-shirt, hot pink shorts, and white and pink Nike shoes. Braelynn has a medical issue that requires medication.
The suspect, 41-year-old Tearsha Micara Venable, is described as 5'8", weighing around 150 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Tearsha was last seen driving a vehicle, which has since been recovered with no occupants inside.
Anyone with information on Braelynn or Tearsha’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
