Pickup Truck Overturns on Everman Parkway, Leaving Three Critically Injured, Including Infant

Shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2, Everman emergency crews responded to a major accident in the 1900 block of Everman Parkway. The accident involved a single vehicle with multiple injuries reported. Upon arrival, officers found a pickup truck overturned, with three occupants ejected from the vehicle, including a 10-month-old infant. The driver, who was not ejected, managed to exit the vehicle on his own.

First responders began treating the two adults and the infant who were ejected from the truck, all of whom suffered very serious injuries. The three patients were transported to nearby hospitals, where they are currently listed in critical condition. The infant is receiving intensive care. The driver, who sustained minor injuries, sought medical treatment at a local hospital.

The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to identify all potential factors and determine if any criminal activity occurred. Preliminary findings suggest that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Weather is not considered a factor, as the incident occurred before Monday's rain showers. Investigators believe that none of the vehicle's occupants, including the 10-month-old baby, were using appropriate safety restraints at the time of the accident.

This scene has been cleared, and Everman Parkway has reopened.
