Irving to Close 50-Year-Old Drive-Up Tube System at City Hall for Utility Payments on Oct 1st

The Irving City Hall drive-up tube system for utility bill payments will permanently close on October 1. However, the drop-off box located at the same site will remain open and available for residents 24/7.

The drive-up tube system, which has been in use for 50 years, has become costly to maintain. Given the availability of the 24/7 drop-off box, the original tube system is no longer deemed necessary.

Residents using the drop-off box should note the following:

  • Pick-up time is Monday through Friday at 7:59 a.m., except on city holidays.
  • Payments deposited will be posted on the next business day.
  • Residents are advised to include their account number on all payments.
  • Payments made after pick-up time on due dates may result in penalties.
  • Cash or coins should never be deposited in the box.

Irving residents can save time by paying online at MyIrvingBill.org.
