On September 4, 2024, at approximately 10:10 PM, Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call in the 3500 block of Meadow Street in South Dallas. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive woman inside a residence with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue also responded to the scene, and the woman was pronounced dead at the location.
The identity of the deceased woman is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
Zachary Anderson, 26, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the incident. The investigation remains ongoing and is being documented under case number 136326-2024.

UPDATE: The victim was identified as 54-year-old Simona Ulanda Walker. The motive is unclear at this time.
