Nmarqule Ware

On Friday afternoon, August 30th, Irving Police Dispatch received a notification about a stolen vehicle—a black 2014 Ford Escape—within the city limits of Irving. Five Irving Police officers quickly responded and located the vehicle. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver accelerated, leading to a high-speed pursuit. The chase ended at the 7-Eleven parking lot at the corner of W. Airport Fwy and Esters Rd., when the vehicle became inoperable.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Nmarqule Ware from Euless, fled on foot but was apprehended by officers. A search of the vehicle revealed drugs and a weapon. Ware was booked into the Irving Jail at 5:55 PM. He faces charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2, Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon, and Evading Arrest Detention.  On August 31st, he was transferred to the Dallas County Jail and is being held on a $42,000 bond.

Ware has a history of similar offenses. He was arrested earlier this year, on March 22nd, by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office for drug possession. On January 9th, 2024, he was arrested by Arlington Police for drugs and vehicle theft. In September 2023, he was arrested by White Settlement Police for vehicle theft. The stolen Ford Escape was recovered.
